In search of inspiration for an upcoming project at my 9-5, I scooted over to the Javitiz Center for a few hours last week to attend TexWorld. TexWorld is a sourcing event for designers, buyers, and merchandisers who are looking for the hottest new trends in textiles. The show was smaller than I expected it to be but the vendors had oddles of beautiful fabric from almost every corner of the world. I was pleased to see an emphasis on eco-friendly materials and decided to visit those booths first. After perusing, I sat in on on a color trend lecture and got the forecast for 2010-11.
I had high hopes of taking many photos and bringing back amazing swatches but this "TexWorld newbie" quickly learned that neither is allowed. So, I just have this photo and some great notes. Let me know if you'd like to read them.
