This morning when I noticed the video below was the featured ad on The Creative Cookie (in the sidebar to the right) I was so inspired.
First of all, I've been a huge fan of The Girl Effect for some time now. They are doing amazing work internationally and their campaigns are effective. They know how to communicate what they do.
Secondly, as someone who has worked for and with nonprofits for years, I think it's smart to purchase ad space to be posted on blogs. I just hope they were able to negotiate a great deal with Adify:).
Thirdly, my purpose for The Creative Cookie has never changed, even though fashion is often the focus (it's so much fun plus it's all about creative self expression), I've always kept my aim on growing the blog into a place where causes and creativity co-exist, I see them hand-in-hand.
Soooo, I'll be covering more nonprofits and causes that are innovative in their approach to mixing creativity with what they do to improve the world. From Hip Hop 4 Life to Fashion Fights Cancer, I can't wait to blog about the nonprofits that are making a difference and the creative people, who help them, by giving back.
