I heart my frost frames so much that we decided to use them in the design of the Creative Cookie logo:). Here's a short video, featuring frost eyewear, shot in Berlin during fashion week. Enjoy!

Florodora, adorable & enchanting

In the middle of my Chicago visit I stopped by  Florodora, downtown, in the historic Monadnock building. The modern mix of urban meets vintage inspired & handmade fashion sparked my interest immediately. Much of Florodora's inventory is comprised of items made by designers in Chicago. Labels they have include: Feral Childe, Lia Molly, and Twinkle. I decided to invest in a pair of preloved mittens and a twisted oval gold ring by Dana Reed. It was 5 days after my birthday and I was feeling a wee bit extravagent:). I can't wait to revisit Florodora for a special statement piece, a Laura Miller dress, or another birthday splurge the next time I'm in the windy city. It's a treasure trove of lovely.

The Daily Heller is my favorite place to get a graphic design fix. Today's post, The Bra that fit the 20th Century, gives readers a look at Maidenform's 1949 advertising campaign, "I Dreamed I was _______ in My Maidenform Bra." Glitter & Glitz

The dazzle, glitter, and glitz of the holidays is over and now it's time to move forward with what the new year will unfold! My creative start for 2011 has included  gathering materials for collaging, writing notes of gratitude, and celebrating things big and small -- there's oodles to smile about. Life is not "perfect" but its pretty darn good & 2011 is showing promise of becoming a super snazzy year. So, from my screen to yours, happy 2011!! THANK YOU for continuing to follow The Creative Cookie :).
