Michelle Smith debuted her Milly Fall Winter 2011 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to an audience of excited followers such as Elisabeth Hasselbeck & Kristin Chenoweth, both dressed in must-have Milly pieces. This Spring Milly will celebrate it's 10th year by opening a Madison Avenue flagship store and launching "Milly Minis" for girls aged 2-7.
Sophisticated and glamorous with a vintage vibe Milly's collection for Fall '11 has a mod 60s feel. The Jewel-tone-infused palette inspired by Guy Bourdin, includes dazzling colors like emerald, sapphire, burgundy, ruby, and plum. I love separates in the fall, so I ogled over the coats and capes layered with knits, blouses, dresses, and skirts. Handbags from the Milly accessory line were paired with many of the looks. My favorite was an over-sized envelope clutch.
Michelle's zest for designing clothes is infectious, she says, quote "My Fall 2011 collection is rich and luxurious in color, texture and detail, focusing on a longer silhouette, always with a touch of youthful levity."

On a side note, I've never seen an episode of "Gossip Girl" but I hear that last night Leighton Meester’s character ‘Blair Waldorf’ was wearing Milly's styles including the Daisy Tee and the Colette Sheath Dress in Winter White.
