One of the highlights for NY Fashion Week SS12 is being able to see several designers work over time. One of my favorite examples of this is Raul Penaranda who I have interviewed last September and this September, I got to speak with him casually before his show. (I even sat next to his mother during the show :)
Honestly, by the time I got to Raul's show, I needed to see something different and he did not disappoint. I would be happy to wear everthing that came down the runway AND the production value made the work pop. There was a spotlight following the models as they graced the u-shaped catwalk. The DJ did his thing while we sat in pitch darkness, impressed by the fashion in the light.
