To close this year's series of Dress for Impressions posts to celebrate (an extremely extended) Women's History Month, I'm happy to introduce Colleen!
I must tell the story of how we met. kamau and I were art shopping at a Brooklyn gallery a few months after moving to New York. We fell in love with a piece and decided to buy it for our collection. Luckily for us we were able to meet the artist, who happened to be John, Colleen's hubby. After a quick chat we discovered that we had many things in common including our West Michigan upbringing and migration to the city that never sleeps.
Art galleries are the perfect place to meet cool peeps:).

My name is: Colleen Newvine Teabeau
I live in: Brooklyn, NY
My blog is: Newvine Growing
Five words that describe my blog are: Inspiration and living life intentionally
When I blog, I love wearing: Depends on the day, because sometimes I love to write late at night in my jammies, sometimes I write curled up on the couch on a cozy Saturday, sometimes I squeeze a blog post into a busy day when I'm charging off to do a million things. What I wear depends on my day and my mood, but one generality is I like soft comfy fabrics without too much fussiness. I like to wear clothes that make me feel good, without getting in my way, so for example, I love the idea of bracelets but just can't wear them because they distract me at the keyboard. Necklaces, earrings and scarves work far better for me.
