Fashion Week would not be complete if I did not make it behind the scenes to cover hair and make up for at least one show. Lucky for me I was able to score a backstage interview with creative director and stylist for Moroccanoil, Antonio Corral Calero, before The Blonds runway show during MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios.

Here are some looks that I'd love to wear from New York based designer Mathieu Mirano. The inspiration? Human-Dinozation: The evolution of a scientist woman. Lot's of craft, construction and imagination, oh, my!

Lady GAGA, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Osbourne, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian are not the only ones who can be seen wearing Falguni & Shane Peacock's designs. Love her look.
This duo was super cute in their tinted specs. I had to say "hi" and ask them to pose for Cookie!
I always admire a girl who can wear a hat well. A pop of color and gold accents just perfect for fall!

Designers Falguni & Shane Peacock are always exciting to watch each season. Sexy silhouettes, embellished hand beading, feather accents, and original prints are always staples creating one show stopper after another. This is not typically my style of fashion but their theatrical sensibility and their attention to detail keep me waiting to see what they will do next. This seasons body conscious graphic fabrics and clean minimalistic shapes made me think of sprockets, orbits and futuristic flying saucers!

Alas, New York Fashion Week is coming to a close and I'm having a case of separation anxiety {{grumble}}. As always I'll be slowly posting away well after the tents go down. So, I guess there's no need to fret.
To start, here are a few of my favorite looks from from Alexandre Herchcovitch's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The runway show took place at MILK Studios, this past Saturday, I was unable to attend because I was at Go Brooklyn Art. (Yay!)
Boy George and 1980’s Culture Club were the inspiration for this season. Do you dig the vivid plaid prints, boisterous embellishments, with a working girl easiness? I do.

This past weekend, kamau, my other half participated in Go Brooklyn, where hundreds of artists across Brooklyn opened their studio doors to thousands of voters.
