Creative Cookie Eco Style Camp Gets Funded

I just found out that we were awarded funding from Citizens Committee of New York City! Guess who's busy developing an eco style summer camp? Meee.

Ladies Love Project

One of my students, Reina (age 9), will be participating in the Ladies Love Project today. She'll be selling these zipper bracelets and leather bow cuffs that she designed!

There will also be many other amazingly talented and stylish artists, shakers, makers, and creators. Should be a good thing! Come check it out if you're in NYC! I'll post pictures after the event.

UPDATE:). When I arrived at the event Reina had sold the things she made except a few -- go Reina!

Writing for the Red Hook Star-Revue

I'm tickled to announce that I'm the fashion and style reporter for the Red Hook Star-Revue -- South Brooklyn's community newspaper! The column that I'm writing will focus on fashion and creative things in our surprising studio neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn. My first submission, included in the annual April Fools edition, tells the true story of an odd fashion-filled dream that I had. Calmly waiting to see what other stories emerge from this new experience, gulp:)

How did I miss this?  Tavi Gevinson, one of my favorite fashionista was on the Colbert Report where she shares details about  Rookie Magazine, cool dads and selects fashion looks for Stephen. Watch this super cute vid!
