In July, Teen Vogue ran a piece by Sue Williamson titled Meet 5 Models with Facial Scars. I found the piece to be very inspiring and decided to start drawing all my model sketches, in my Style File, with scars. Here are a few:
Everyone has scars. They should be celebrated as beauty too. On my right arm there are three burn marks, in the form of little lines, that I got when I was five. I was trying to help my mom with a sewing project. These are my favorite scars because they validate my career. Whenever people ask about them I'm always proud to tell the story of the 1st time I used an iron. Ouch!
