I'm posting this way too late for anyone to attend but it's worth noting that it happened:). We showed our space during Red Hook Open Studios on Sunday. I'm challenging myself to talk more about my work, from an artistic perspective, so this presented an opportunity with an audience or strangers. I plan to do it again next year and will invite everyone earlier because I won't be so shy!

'My Fab Fashion Style File' New York Times Plug

Good News! My latest book 'My Fab Fashion Style File' was mentioned in today's New York Times in conjunction with the 10th Annual Brooklyn Museum Children's Book Fair. The event is tomorrow, 11/12, and It's going to be great. I hope you can attend! Pick up a copy or read it online.

Tenth Annual Brooklyn Children's Book Fair / SATURDAY

This Saturday the Brooklyn Museum will host it's 10th Anniversary Children's Book Fair - yay! I'm honored to be listed alongside over 50 Brooklyn authors and illustrators for the 2nd year in a row. Pop-Up Care Shop

Join us at Warehouse Gallery on Saturday, November 19th, for The Pop-Up Care Shop to benefit the women and families of Sammon Build Shelter.

Alicia Keys New Short Film

Alicia Keys released a new A.V. Rockwell-directed short film, The Gospel, and we kind of love it! The film is exclusively on Tidal so if you're not a subscriber it might be a little hard to find. Everything was shot in New York City, Alicia's hometown. Looking forward to the full album, Here, on Friday, November 4th!

 

Speaking of 'here' Kamau and I happened to be at a party at Pioneer Works, in Red Hook, earlier this year and Keys was there too! We all ended up on the W Magazine site. Click to see more photos!
