Art to Ware is Opening a New Location!!!

Art to Ware isn't going anywhere any time soon! We are so excited to announce that ChaShaMa, a non-profit arts organization that helps artists access spaces to create and connect in New York City, recently offered Art to Ware a second location to be opened on August 26, 2021. This pop-up shop will be an extension of the original Art to Ware pop-up shop and will carry many of the same designers including Ooh Baby, Christine Jiwon Ra, and more.

You can find the new Art to Ware store at 320 W 23rd Street, New York, NY.

If you have visited the current Art to Ware pop-up shop at 21 Greenwich Avenue in the West Village, make sure you come back in before the store closes on July 22nd to pick up a discount card for 11% off your first purchase at the new Art to Ware store location.

If you didn't have the chance to visit the first location and want to know more about Art to Ware, it is a WOC-owned business that promotes socially conscious, upcycled, and handmade focused items. The pricing ranges from $3 (flowers and small things like patches & pins) - $700 (original artwork and intricate handmade wearables). The store also had the opportunity to collaborate with Nuuly, a subscription clothing rental brand, where out-of-circulation items were donated to be upcycled and reworked by our designers at Art to Ware.

Make sure you pop in to check out the new location, new items, and reworked one-of-a-kind items only offered at Art to Ware!

Thank you all for the support that you have offered to make this second location happen! We couldn't do any of this without our amazing Creative Cookie followers!

Christine Jiwon Ra x Art to Ware

The second in our series of collection drops coming out every 2 weeks is available now in collaboration with recent Parsons School of Design graduate and South Korean designer Christine Jiwon Ra! This collection is hand-dyed, painted, and covered in reclaimed buttons to create one-of-a-kind 4 (1 of 1) upcycled garments using out-of-circulation pieces from our friends at Nuuly.

“This collection was created with a focus on using pre and post-consumer 'less than ground zero' textile waste destined to be thrown away. Through incorporating artisanal hand dyeing techniques, each item has been designed to have transcendental value in my customer’s wardrobe,” said Christine. “I want to encourage more careful and meaningful relationships between garments and their consumer with my pieces designed to be treasured for life.”

Pop into the space, at 21 Greenwich Ave, to shop and celebrate AAPI History Month with this exclusive collection! Check out @arttoware on Instagram and TikTok for up-to-date content on this collection.

If you are curious about fashion rental - subscribe to Nuuly and save $10 off your first month with our special code "ArtToWare".

Fashion is Self Care: Change is a Good Thing!

Screen Shot 2021-04-06 at 5.25.15 PMFor those of you who have been tuning in to the fashion is self-care pieces that I’ve been writing, I am exceedingly grateful. This experience has been so amazing and I’m beyond honored that I had the opportunity to share these amazing and creative people with you. The fashion is self-care series is taking a brief pause but I promise we will be back in June with a new and improved fashion is self-care series. If you’ve enjoyed reading these pieces, please keep an eye out for the revamped series! Again, thank you for taking the time out of your day to learn a little more about alternative ways to view the fashion world, and remember to always treat fashion as a form of self-care.

If you’d like a refresher on all the visionaries who shared their thoughts with us, you can find the fashion is self-care series here!
